Mahbub Alam, aka Comrade Mahbub(aka "Ma-bu dongji"), is one of two main actors in the S. Korean movie "Bandhobi".

In his "former life"(before he became a "movie star"^^) he has been very deep involved in the struggle against the policy (by the former Roh Moo-hyun gov't) of crackdown and mass deportation of un-documented migrant workers. He has been an activist in the ETU-MB(the predecessor organization of MTU), especially short before and during the time when we occupied the Myeong-dong Cathedral compount in downtown Seoul for more than one year (between Nov. 2003 and Dec. 2004). Later, in early 2005 he became one of the co-founders of MWTV.
