Starting in the early morning of Nov. 20, three dismissed Ssangyong Motor workers in Pyeongtaek(Gyeonggi province) ascended an electricity pylon to stage a sit-in protest. KCTU activists Han Sang-kyun, Moon Ki-joo and Bok Ki-seong are demanding the re-employment of the dismissed workers(as promised by the SsangYong management) and that a parliamentary inspection of the lay-offs be held.

 

Today is their 41st day of sit-in struggle...

And almost daily - especially now during the 'holiday season' - manifold solidarity activities are beeing held to support their fierce(it's wintertime with 10~15 degrees below zero!!) struggle...
Last Friday(12.28), for example, an impressive "Solidarity Street Art Festival" took place in front of the occupied electricity pylon:
