용산 4 구역 철거민 27 명이 남일당 건물에서 농성을 하다가 6 명이 사망당한 용산참 사가 일어난지 10 개월 지났다. 지난 10 월 28 일 오후 2 시에 철거민 7 명이 5-6 년 징역을 선고 된 용산참사에 대한 재판결과는 나왔다. 용산참사 현장은 당장 용산투쟁 현장이 되어 남 일당 건물 앞에서 농성, 철거된 레아 호프가 촛불미디어센터가 되어 공공적 매체활동 장 소도 되었다.

2008 년 미국산 쇠고기 수입 반대 촛불집회에 비하면 용산투쟁 현장에서는 대학생 들이 안 보인다는 말이 많이 들린다. 투쟁뉴스가 학생 40 명에게 용산투쟁에 대한 여론조 사를 했다. 여론조사에서 대학생의 철거민 투쟁에 대한 지지률이 높은 결과가 나왔다.

여론조사 결과에 따르면 대학생 47%은 철거민의 투쟁은 정당하다고 생각했다. 하 지만 대학생 32%는 철거민의 투쟁을 불법으로 보거나 투쟁하지 않았으면 좋 겠다는 의견도 나왔다. 지지률을 반영하지 않지만 대학생 60%는 용산참사 현장에 가본 적이 있다는 결과도 나왔다.

여론조사를 본 대학생 중에 53%는 용산참사가 이명박 정권의 범죄, 32%는 누구의 범죄가 아니라고, 9%는 경찰의 범죄로 여긴다.

용산참사가 철거민의 범죄라는 답은 2%로서 제일 낮은 답이지만 재판에서 정부가 철거민 7 명 중형을 선고했다. 여론조사를 본 대학생 94%는 이 재판결과에 일치하지 않 는다.

이 여론조사를 나오기 전에 故윤용헌님의 유가족 유영숙씨는 "학생 여러분도 모두 자신에게 일어나지 않을 일이라고 생각하시지 마시고, 조금만 생각해서 두 번 다시 이런 일이 벌어지지 않도 록 같이 합심해서 투쟁했으면 하는 바람이라"고 말했다.

학교에 다닌다. 왜 다닐 걸 결정했냐면 사용할 수 있는 정보를 얻고 사용할 수 있는 능력을 키우고 싶었다. 고등학교 때 알았을 걸 그랬지만 대학교는 경제적 기계를 대량생산하는 공장이다. 

내가 경제적 기계가 절대 되고 싶지 않는데. 명령을 어떻게 잘 따라가고 작동하는지를 배우고 싶지 않는데. 왜 대학교를 다니는가? 내 자치적으로 생활하기에 어떤 도움이 되나? 본래 엘리트인 학문적 놀이에 관심이 없어졌는데 왜 그런 책, 보고서, 통계자료, 피피티, 등등에 몰두하고 잃어버려 있네? 촐업하고 취직하고 계약을 서명하고 맷날 일해야 되는 고문에 들어갈 거리를 준비하고 위한 대학교, 교육체제.

학교 과제 때문에 바쁘게 될 때 이렇게 반성하게 된다.
