Today, 10 years ago: About 200 migrant workers have begun a unpredictable 387-day sit-in strike on Myeong-dong Cathedral's compound(in downtown Seoul) to protest and fight against the beginning of S.K. government's crackdown - man hunt, mass arrests and deportations - against (undocumented) migrant workers in the country...

Sunday(8.18) afternoon: About 200 young migrant workers from Vietnam, Nepal, Thailand, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Cambodia and China gathered in downtown Seoul. Together with Korean labour and human right activists they urged the S.K. gov't to scrap the "Employment Permit System"(EPS) and demanded a new work permit system under wich migrant workers can choose their jobs freely...
