Dear _ Publishing House

 How do you do? My name is Seokmin who is coeditor of Simcheongga and A martyr's song of Ryu Gwansun(Ryu Gwansun Yeolsaga). 

 I am writing to point out a mistake in a translation. On 22/12/23 when I received French edition, I was surprised that "seungbul jeseok"(Korean edition, p. 30) was translated into "Ô toi grand buddha Ratnasambhava qui naquis du joyau, ô toi Shakra"(French edition, p. 38). 

 Because, the translation is wrong. I have ever so often informed _ _ that 'seungbul' would rather mean a 'three-budda(trois-bouddha, 三佛, sambul)' than a 'Ratnasambhava(寶勝佛/寶生佛/寶生如來·宝生如来, boseungbul/bosaengbul/bǎoshēngRúlái)'.

 In Korean edition, I had written that 'seungbul' “may be a ‘boseungbul(寶勝佛, Ratnasambhava)’……”(Korean edition, op. cit., a footnote 182). But, I have informed _ _ that It had been my mistake.

 Of course, the word of ‘Ratnasambhava’ exists. But ‘Ratnasambhava’ is not used together with ‘Shakra(帝釋, jeseok)’. That is, ‘Ratnasambhava(boseungbul) Shakra(jeseok)’ is not written in any texts of pansori, nor is it registered in any dictionary of the Korean language.

 In the contrast, ‘three-budda(trois-bouddha, sambul) Shakra(jeseok)’ is registered in many dictionaries of Korean language. Especially, ‘three-budda(trois-bouddha, sambul) Shakra’ is used in Korea’s shaman song which is one of the origin of pansori.     

 Therefore, 'seungbul jeseok' would rather mean a 'three-budda(trois-bouddha) Shakra' than a 'Ratnasambhava Shakra’.

 On 11/03/23 when _ _, I, and _ _ have had a lunch, I have once appealed _ _ that I want to look a translation of ‘seungbul jeseok’. But, _ _ has refused. I should have noticed the mistranslation.

1. If possible, please correct the mistranslation. 

2. I don't want to renew the French publishing contract.

3. That is, I do not want a publishment of A martyr's song of Ryu Gwansun. This is because the contract period ends. In addition, I had several mistakes in A martyr's song of Ryu Gwansun. And It is difficult to expect that my correction of mistakes is reflected in _ _’s translation.

P.S.

A content(a vertical line as musical sign i.e. “Samsip samcheon| dosol|cheon| seungbul jeseok| ……”) that _ _ had edited in Korean edition have not translated in French edition. That is, all of writing have translated in French edition is my edition. Therefore, _ _’s mistranslation is not only against Korean edition but also my edition especially.
