작년 여름 보스니아에서 우연히 마주친 그이가 함께 방을 나누면서 지내는 동안 한 말이 어렴풋하기만하다.

'글쓰기에 손을 놓은지가 너무 오래되어서, 쓰기가 너무 힘들어요... 내 마음이 가장 편해야할 일기장 속에서도 자유롭게 글이 이어지질 않으니 글쓰기를 자꾸 미루게 되었어요...'  어설픈 변명 속에서 다시 글을 쓸 수 있을까하는 희망 반 회의 반 속에서 그이를 떠나보냈다.

글을 쓴다. 잘 써지든, 안써지든, 글이 글을 다시 이어갈거라는 편한 맘으로 글을 쓴다.

meine worte zersteuen sich und existieren vielerorts, wo ihre spuren nicht gefunden werden.

i write something that has just passed by near me. hardly had i had a glance at it, it passed away. writing is a way of groping an image which doesn't exist. it might have existed already. it might come back near me and fly away before i hardly realise it existed some point of time. never-ending story of seek-and-hide.

i don't write, i don't paint, i don't do anything at all in the middle of 'you have to do something' world. what i can do - from time to time - when i function cooperating to the universal motto of zwang zur kreativen produtivität vice versa zur produktiven kreativität is making collages. i pick up words and images - either my own ones or those borrowed and copied from others - and mix them. i collage, therefore i make sure i have exist somewhere and some time. sort of a bricoleuse i am, you can say.
