혼자서 망가진 마이크를 뉴멕시코 대학에서 훔쳐오고 콩고드럼을 이웃에게 기증 받아 혼자 만든 앨범이 Gulag Orkestar였는데 새 EP는 원맨밴드인 Beirut가 아니라 여러 친구들이 함께 했다. Scenic World는 Gulag Orkestar와 Lon Gisland 모두 수록되어있다.
