"A friendship joint gathering of war veterans of the DPRK and China took place at the People's Theatre on Monday to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War..." (KCNA, 7.30)
Today I watched the entire performance on KCTV(조선중앙TV)...
...and I'm still complete confused!! Was it an offer for better and really friendly relations between NK and China? Or was it just a kind of offense?? No idea!
I only hope that someone will soon upload the recorded event somewhere in the internet...
Last Saturday(7.20) in the morning about 3000 activists in 22 S. Korean cities boarded dozens of "Hope Buses" and drove to Ulsan. After arrival they gathered with 2000 workers from the Ulsan region in front of Hyundai Motors plant for a massive protest rally... But only a short while after the beginning they were attacked by large units of riot cops and heavily armed "security guards"(i.e. thugs, hired by Hyundai to smash the rally!!).

Solidarity with the Protest of Hyundai Workers in Ulsan!
Since 278 days(!!) two labor activists - one official of the temporary workers' union of Hyundai Motors and the other a former 'irregular' worker at the automaker - are now in sit-in strike on a power supply post...
The protest began last year on Oct. 17 when Choe Byeong-seung and Cheon Ui-bong ascended a 50-meter electrical pylon near the Myeongchon Gate of Hyundai Motor’s factory in Ulsan (here you can read a detailed article).
