World Without War and friends invite you for tomorrow(Thursday, 4.05) to help us make a human chain around the Samsung C&T building in Seoul's Gangnam District to protest the construction of the naval base in Gangjeong Village, Jeju Island. Samsung C&T is the main contractor working on the destruction of Gangjeong's beautiful coastline. If we can mobilize enough people, we'll be able to form a chain right around the building - so make sure to bring your friends!
Please dress in yellow - in solidarity with the villagers and activists in Gangjeong. Yellow T-shirts will be available for purchase at production cost and you are encouraged to prepare everything else you can in yellow: yellow hair band, yellow pants, yellow mask, etc. Feel free to decorate yourself!

Party, state and government heads paid condolence visits to DPRK missions and mourning events such as hoisting of flags at half-mast were held solemnly...

Today's Korea Times reported that "Civic group members will stage a candlelit protest on Jeju Island from this week in protest of the ongoing construction of the naval base on the nation’s largest resort island.
'We will make clear through our act to let people gain awareness of the injustice in this construction plan, and will make sure the protest goes an all over the island,' said a member of the emergency commission consisted of the Jeju city residents, Monday.
The commission announced at a press conference that the candlelit protest will begin from Thursday in front of the city hall, and will continue until the Navy decides to faithfully and fully revise its plan..."
Wow! It seems that an all-out confrontation between the protest movement and the "ruling" forces is looming!!(^^) "Candlelit protest"... That's definitely an appropriate & uncompromising measure(^^) against the daily aggression conducted by the MB administration (incl. its police forces and navy) and the Construction Mafia(Samsung C&T, Daelim E&C) against the people and nature of Jeju Island!!
