...after a press conference near the company’s headquarters in Seoul’s Dongjak district, calling for a world without irregular workers, Dec. 22. Until Dec. 26, the workers will continue their demonstration, moving from the National Assembly toward the Blue House with stops at other worker sit-in sites, including Cable and More workers in front of the Press Center Building, LG Plus and Gwanghwamun Square. The workers were dismissed after Kiryung Electronics was sold off in parts. The workers are still struggling despite a court ruling in their favor in May 2013. Meanwhile today's Korea Times reported(related to the current 'Chimney Sit-in Struggle' in Pyeongtaek) that "Ssangyong's management declared the company would respond to their illegal protest sternly. 'They must stop the protest, which won't help solve the problem,' the company said in a statement. 'We won't negotiate and will take any legal action necessary'..."
