Yesterday(10.25) afternoon/evening in central Seoul: about 5000 workers joined KCTU rallies and demonstrations(related reports in Korean, incl. lots of pics, you'll get on LabourStart!) to support the ongoing struggle of "irregular" workers to achieve regular employment contracts. Meanwhile the SK gov't is to revise regulations for hiring non-regular, according to today's Yonhap report.

Last Sat. NK's Rodong Shinmun published under the headline "Imperialists' Ideological and Cultural Poisoning Should Be Frustrated" the following f*cking BS...

The young people in the progressive countries[???] should look through the essence and dangerous nature of the imperialists' ideological and cultural poisoning and turn out in the struggle to frustrate it.

In the new century the imperialists have become more cunning and vicious in their moves to imbue the young people with the reactionary and corrupt bourgeois ideology and culture.

By massively spreading the American view of value, bourgeois ideology and culture and false and fabricated data through the internet, the U.S. seeks to cause social chaos and political instability in some countries and make the young people harbor an illusion about the American culture and way of life.

A lot of decadent films and videos of all kinds are in circulation mainly targeting the independent countries standing against imperialism and the young people.

The ideological and cultural poisoning by the U.S. is like an all-out war covering all spheres of social life. What is noteworthy in it is the smear campaign by radio.

The U.S. strategic design is to make young people mental cripples infected with virus of reactionary ideologies and corrupt bourgeois way of life and use them in its efforts to disintegrate those countries advocating independence against imperialism. This is proven by the beneath fact.

The young people in the East European countries which cleared the way for the imperialists' ideological and cultural poisoning in the past took the lead in bringing down the socialist system and betraying the country and people.
