Last Friday(10.5) - under the motto "All is the Sky, We are the Sky" - the "Grand March for Life and Peace" started in Jeju City...

Background: Last June, laid-off workers of SsangYong Motors, Gangjeong villagers in resistance against the construction of the Jeju Naval Base and bereaved families of the Yongsan tragedy (Ssangyong_S, K(G)angjeong_K, Yongsan_Y) and their related associated organizations launched the SKY ACT/SKY Joint Action Committee.

So the "Grand March for Life and Peace" will be a preliminary highlight to gain more public attention for some of the main current unsolved social problems in S. Korea(more detailed info about the march you'll find here!).

Yesterday's first leg of the march: Mokpo and Gwangju. Here just some impressions from yesterday's first leg - after leaving Jeju Island - of the march in Mokpo and Gwangju(more pics and a short 'march report' you'll get here):
