Two days ago(9.23) Yonhap reported the following: Thousands of unionized workers across the country walked out of their workplaces Wednesday to protest the implementation of a trilateral commission's recent deal on labor reform. In the interests of clarity: There wasn't any KCTU strike - let alone a "general strike" - on that day(except the ongoing wage dispute @Hyundai Motor)!! KCTU's so-called "9.23 General Strike" was just a 'struggle' rally/demo(*) "to protest the implementation of a trilateral commission's recent deal on labor reform", joined by 10,000(according to the independent media/4,500~5,500 according to the cops and the S.K. bourgeois media) labour activists...
But it was a "wonderful opportunity" for the S. Korean 'authorities', represented by the riot cops, to go hog wild...
