Yesterday(3.05) afternoon in central Seoul: A women workers rally(joined by about 500 activists), organized by KCTU to celebrate this year's Int'l Women's Day, demanded "Decent jobs"(60 percent of all female workers are non-regular workers), "Equal pay for equal work!"(S.Korea has one of the worst gender wage gaps among developed countries, with female workers earning 65 percent what their male counterparts make), quality public child care(many women are forced to leave their jobs after giving birth because of lack of childcare support from the gov't) and trade union rights for ALL female workers...(related reports in Korean you'll get here and here)
