Under the headline Democratic socialism spreads to South Korean politics yesterday's Korea Times published the following:
Four years after Bernie Sanders made his case for "democratic socialism" in U.S. politics, a South Korean politician has declared himself a "democratic socialist."
Yang Kyung-kyu, 59, who is competing against Rep. Sim Sang-jeung for leadership of the minor opposition Justice Party, has vowed to fight for ordinary people and resolve social inequality issues and injustices.
During TV debates on Monday and early Wednesday morning, Yang, former vice chief of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, the second-largest umbrella labor group in the nation, said the party failed to bring fundamental changes to the lives of ordinary people with "the same old messages."
"It is important how we identify ourselves as a party," he said during Monday's debate. "I use the term of democratic socialism to clearly show voters what we try to achieve as a society and how to solve its problems [...]
"Who fears socialism?" Yang said. "Why would we fear a new idea of changing a society where injustices and inequalities are rampant? I will say loud and clear which direction our party should take. The Justice Party under my leadership will pursue socialism."
PS. Socialism - according to the Marxist-Leninist theory - is the transition(society) from capitalism to communism!!
According to the "liberal democratic", conservative, bourgeoise-reactionary circles around the world, its just... devil's work(^^)

Approximately half of some 200,000 non-regular public employees affiliated with the KCTU are expected to take part in the strike scheduled to continue through Friday, calling for wage hikes, abolition of discrimination and switching their status to that of regular workers. The strike by about 100,000 workers, who have secured the right to strike through votes, is to affect the operations of central administrative organs, local autonomous governments, public institutions and schools, according to the KCTU...(more you can read here)
A while later KCTU(*) stated(via fb): Over 100 thousand public sector precarious workers on strike in South Korea today. Despite government promises efforts to improve precarious workers conditions and provide job security have stalled. As a start the government must establish a bargaining table with unions. The main force today - education support workers are calling for elimination of wage descrimination and dignity and equality at work through granting them status in law as education sector public employees...
