KTU's "Emergency Struggle Committee for the Reinstatement of Fired Teachers" issued the following statement: The Ministry of Employment and Labor, which had ignored even the demand for a meeting with the minister for five months, responded today with a violent sit-in and arrest of 18 dismissed teachers, declaring once again that the Ministry of Employment and Labor is not a ministry for workers. We will not stop fighting to prevent labor reform, secure three labor rights, cancel the non-law union, and reinstate dismissed teachers. We will make constant efforts to create a society in which not only teachers but also all workers on this country can live like human beings.
