박원순 시장과 서울시가 청계천-을지로 재개발을 전면 재검토하겠다는 약속을 한 지 5개월이 되어갑니다. 하지만 약속과 달리 서울시는 방관하고 있고, 철거와 재개발을 위한 작업은 계속 추진 중입니다. 6월 말 세운 3구역에 재벌 대기업의 주상복합 아파트가 들어선다는 분양광고가 서울 전역에 걸리고 있습니다. 상인들과 을지로를 지키려는 시민들은 서울시의 기만과 부동산·토건 세력의 개발압력에 가만히 있지 않겠다며 거리로 나섰습니다...

In Geneva, trade unionists from around the world are gathering to start a demo to show their commitment to a new social contract based on a universal labour guarantee. However, KCTU and labour, social, legal, human rights organisation in S. Korea already start the march to urge the gov't to ratify the core conventions on freedom of association and forced labour and deliver the loud and clear message “Ratification of ILO Conventions Mean Going forward Not Backwards on Labour Rights” (source: KCTU via fb, 6.17)

Y'day(6.01) in Seoul various rallies and marches happened. KCTU organised a mass mobilization in Daehakro to urge the government to ratify the ILO core conventions on freedom of association without deterioration of labour rights. In solidarity with the 20th Seoul Queer Parade, which was held in Seoul Cityhall Sqare, KCTU made all the banners and pickets in rainbow colour. KCTU also join the Queer Parade with some 100 banners collecting from different unions saying "KCTU for everyone!" "Unions can tackle the discrimination and exclusion against the LGBTI+" etc. Before joining the Queer Parade KCTU held a press conference to support the adoption of new convention and recommendation on harassment and violence at work in the upcoming centenary ILO and to highlight the correlation between harassment-violence and discrimination-inequality!
