All work places that are members of KCTU are expected to go on an indefinite strike from noon on January 25... On January 27, KCTU will focus on a general strike centered on the Metal Workers' Union, the main industrial union of the confederation, and local headquarters will organize the largest strikes in each region... Local branches of a major South Korean labor organization held events on Monday in support of a planned walkout against the government-led labor reform that it claims will only result in poorer working conditions for workers.
