President Kim Il Sung is a legendary hero who defeated the Japanese imperialist aggressors by leading the final offensive operation for Korea's liberation to victory.
In the 1940s, he worked out a plan for the final offensive operation to defeat the Japanese aggressors and strove to carry it into practice.
Under the plan, the Korean People's Revolutionary Army units were reorganized and many armed organizations formed in the homeland. All Koreans were in full readiness to join the KPRA's final offensive operation.
On August 9, 1945, Kim Il Sung gave an order of an all-out offensive for the national liberation.
As a result, the Japanese imperialists surrendered at discretion in Korea on August 15, one week since the start of the final anti-Japanese operation.
The credit for Korea's liberation from the Japanese colonial rule goes to the wise guidance of Kim Il Sung.
