Today's Korea Times reported the following: An appeals court sentenced Han Sang-gyun, head of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU), to three years in jail and fines of 500,000 won ($430), Tuesday, cutting his five-year prison sentence imposed by a lower court...(more you can read here)
KCTU's (short)comment(via facebook): The court once again ruled base on a political motivation. The Seoul High Court sentenced 3 years' imprisonment and 500,000 KRW of fine against KCTU president Han Sang-gyun. It is still maintaining that all the measures taken by the police during the Mass Moblization og Nov 14, 2015 were legitimate, but a little "excessive". This ruling is still not in line with the principle of Freedom of Peaceful Assembly. Free Han Sang-gyun!!!!!(KCTU's press release in Korean you can read here)
