Y'day(3.14) afternoon until the late evening in Pyeongtaek, an industrial city(home base of SsanYong Motors/SYM) south of Seoul: About 1000 people - labour activists and citizens - joined the "Action of Hope" in solidarity with the ongoing struggle of dismissed SYM workers for reemployment. Y'day afternoon in celebration of (today's)Int'l Women's Day about/only(!!) 1,200 female activists(and their male supporters), mainly members of different labour unions(organized in the KCTU), progressive civic groups and resistance organisations gathered in the center of the S. Korean capital Seoul to protest against the - still - terrible conditions for a majority of female workers.
