11.16, Incheon Int'l Airport: Workers are in full strike. After one day of strike there has been a breakthrough in bargaining but the real boss, the Incheon Airport Corporation, still refuses to participate...
Y'day afternoon(KST) KCTU reported: "The KPTU Incheon Airport Branch announced that the airport corporation has agreed to consider some few demand on which an agreement cannot be reached with contracting companies. As such the union branch will continue the strike til tomorrow[i.e. Sunday] and then be put on hold for one week to give the corporation time to put forward a proposal. A partial victory!!"

Today, 10 years ago: About 200 migrant workers have begun a unpredictable 387-day sit-in strike on Myeong-dong Cathedral's compound(in downtown Seoul) to protest and fight against the beginning of S.K. government's crackdown - man hunt, mass arrests and deportations - against (undocumented) migrant workers in the country...

Fundamental Labour Rights for ALL! 2013 National Workers Rally for Abolition of Precarious Jobs, organized by KCTU - Part I of the 2 days' event was yesterday's Workers Culture Festival on Seoul's Yeoui-do, near the Nat'l Assembly, S. Korea's parliament. And in defiance the heavy rain at least 5000 people participated...
