Yep. And almost daily the S. Korean gov't sermonizes "cooperation", "partnership" and "friendship" with the neighboring countries, esp. China and Japan...
But the reality might be a bit different! At least from Chosun Ilbo's point of view: "Armed Forces Day on Tuesday saw the first public display of two new home-grown missiles. The Hyumu-3 cruise missile, which has a range of 1,000-1,500 km, could hit most strategic targets in China and Japan as well as in North Korea..."

Yesterday afternoon, just after the end of the "50 Hours Solidarity Hunger Strike", 12 dismissed Ssangyong workers announced the cessation of their collective hunger strike - which took place for the past 21 days in front of Daehanmun, the main gate of Deoksu-gung(palace) in central Seoul - concerning increasing health problems. But they also announced that a new wave of public mass struggle is already in preparation...(related updated news reports in Korean you'll get here on LabourStart!)
Today midmorning(KST) the "50 Hours Solidarity Hunger Strike" ended. Since Saturday morning(9am KST) dozens of activists and citizens occupied the square in front of Daehanmun, the main gate of Deoksu-gung(palace) in the center of Seoul to join the collective hunger strike by 12 dismissed Ssangyong workers(today is the 21st day of their struggle).
