Y'day evening I came across the following: Authorities in China’s northeastern province of Jilin, which borders North Korea, apparently take the threat of its belligerent neighbor seriously. At the same time South China Morning Post reported that A state-run newspaper in northeast China published a full-page article advising local residents on how to cope with a nuclear attack – a sign of Beijing’s concern about a possible disaster in the Korean peninsula...(here you'll get the full piece)

PS. The large-scale nuclear war exercises conducted by the U.S. in succession [...] and series of violent war remarks coming from the U.S. high-level politicians amid such circumstances have made an outbreak of war on the Korean peninsula an established fact. The remaining question now is: when will the war break out...(source: "DPRK FM Spokesman", via KCNA, 12.6)

An army-people joint meeting took place in Kangryong County, South Hwanghae Province Thursday to mark the seventh anniversary of the victory in the Yonphyong Island shelling.
Present there were men and officers of the Korean Peoples' Army including the servicepersons who took part in the Yonphyong Island shelling, officials and civilians from all walks of life in the county.
Army Col. General Ri Song Guk, commander of the 4th Corps of the KPA, said in his address that the victory in the Yonphyong Island shelling was a great event as it fully demonstrated the invincible spirit of the KPA and recorded a proud page in the ever-victorious history of Juche Korea.
Now the servicepersons standing guard on the biggest hotspot in the southwest sector of the front are filled with the strong will to make a prompt and merciless strike at the enemies and throw them into the waters by carrying forward the tradition of the victory in the Yonphyong Island shelling once an order is issued, he added...

Today's Hankyoreh reported the following: Residents of Seongju in North Gyeongsang Province were injured when police forcibly dispersed a group gathered in the village, which is the location of the THAAD missile defense system base at Seongju. Residents are currently receiving hospital treatment for injuries sustained in a confrontation with police that occurred at around 9:10 am on Nov. 21 near the base in Soseong. The confrontation took place between roughly 4,000 police from 50 companies who were sent to the scene from 5 am and around 100 village residents protesting the arrival of vehicles on the base. Residents clashed with police after stopping a one-ton truck, five cars, and one container on nearby Jinbat Bridge, located about 700 meters from the Soseong village center.
During the four-hour long confrontation(*), police laid mats under the five- to six-meter high bridge as a precaution while attempting to forcibly disperse the protesting residents at around 9:10 am. Residents claimed the police were “dragging people away by force,” adding that a “number of people were injured, and two had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance.” Around 10 residents were still clashing with police as of 10:30 am...(the complete article you can read here)
