Foods That Are Harmful to Your Dog [18-01-2010]

I’m sure many of you keep pet dogs at home. They are lovely and cute. Dogs can be our good friends. I bet you want your dog to stay _________ and live a long life. Then, you have to take good care of your dog. It is important to feed it healthy food. It’s not a good idea to ________ human food with dogs. Some human foods are especially bad for them. If you feed your dog one of these toxic foods by accident, it can lead to a dangerous situation. Therefore, it is important to know what foods are harmful to dogs.

▶ Fatty Foods: Most fatty foods taste great and dogs love eating them. But don’t give your dog _______ foods. Excessive amounts can cause the dog to get a stomachache. It can also lead to vomiting and diarrhea.

▶ Apples, Peaches, and Cherries: These fruits are very delicious and good for the human body. But they are poisonous to dogs. So never let your dog go near these _______!

▶ Chocolate: Who doesn’t like chocolate! People all over the world love chocolate and so do dogs! But eating chocolate can be very _____________ for dogs. Even a small amount of chocolate in a dog’s bloodstream could cause an irregular heartbeat, diarrhea, and other health problems. ▶ Onions & Garlic: Onions and garlic are very beneficial for the human body. Therefore, many people try to eat these healthy vegetables as often as possible. But both onions and garlic contain a special compound that is toxic for dogs. If your dog eats these vegetables, it will _______ from vomiting and diarrhea.

Remember those toxic foods for dogs and never give them to your lovely pet dog. Feed it healthy dog food so it can stay healthy and live a long, happy life with you!

Last Saturday, after parting from Saturday's study members,

I walked around 전북대문화회관 expecting to see 2PM with my own eyes.

(They came to Jeonju to perform at 전북도민희망콘서트)

and then I found many girls gathering together at the back of the building

and heard they say "2PM is right here in that black van'.

So I waited 2PM to get out of the van. About 30 minutes later,

I had to get back home and ended up catching a bad cold.

Though I failed to see 2PM and got a cold,

I'm satisfied to have been in the same spot with them breathing the same air. kkk...

 Many children all over the world love watching Disney’s animation movies. From “Snow White,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast” to “Aladdin,” Disney produced so many famous animation movies. This year, __________ __________ __________ is going to be loved by many people. The title of the movie is “The Princess and the Frog.”

I’m sure most of you know the story of the Princess and the Frog. It is about a prince who was ______________ _______ a frog. He has to break the spell to be a human again. In order to do that, he has to find a true love. Of course, he falls in love with a beautiful princess in the end and they live happily ever after. Remember the story?

The animated version of the story is __ ________ ______________. Usually, princesses in fairytales are white. But in the Princess and the Frog, the princess is ________! In fact, she is the first African-American princess to appear in an animation film. Her name is Tiana.

The movie was released last week in America. _______ _____ ________, it topped the box office! Americans loved the love story of the black princess. It will be released in Korea on January 21, 2010. I can’t wait to see it!

뉴스 아티클 (EBS 월드뉴스 또는 BBC, CNN 뉴스 또는 EBSE 영자신문)

일시 : 2010년 1월 6일부터 매주 수요일

장소 : 숯 단체 사무실 / 영시미 / 카페.

진행내용 :

1. Ice Breaking Time

- Tongue Twister : 혀 푸는 시간

- Word Quiz : 매주 A~Z 중 정한 알파벳으로 시작하는 단어 퀴즈를 각자 준비하고 나머지 사람이 맞힌다.

2. Easy English

- Word Test : 교재의 내용을 바탕으로 한 단어시험.

- Dictation : 교재 다이얼로그 내용 중 단어 또는 숙어를 빈칸으로 해 받아쓰기 한다.

- Memorizing Dialogues : 특정 요일을 맡아 대사를 암기하고 역할극을 한다.

- Pattern Practice : 중요 패턴을 반복적으로 연습하기.

3. News Listening and Reading

- Dictation : 뉴스 빈칸 채우기 퀴즈.

- Reading and Comprehension : 함께 읽으며 독해하기. 어휘 체크.

- Small talking : 뉴스 주제에 관해 이야기하기.

진행 규칙 :

- 꼭 필요한 경우를 제외하고는 영어만을 사용한다.

- Word Test와 Dictation의 결과를 한달 평균을 내 우수한 성적을 낸 사람에게 시상.

- EBS 라디오 방송 듣기는 추천사항, 교재를 바탕으로 한 내용 예습은 필수사항.

4.17 블로그 행동의 날

블로거는 블로그로! 다시한번 뉴코아/이랜드 투쟁을 그리고 비정규직 문제를 침묵속에서 끌어내는 행동을 해보면 좋겠습니다. 그래서 제안합니다. 4.17 Blog Action Day!

오는 4월 17일을 이랜드 투쟁을 지지하는 블로그 행동의 날로 만듭시다!

비정규직에 대해서, 불안정한 노동과 차압당한 미래에 대해서 각자의 방식으로 각자의 목소리를 풀어냅시다. <블로그 행동의 날>이 블로그 하나하나의 개별성과 가치에 기반하여 다른 세상을 향한 모자이크가 되도록! 이랜드 노동자들이 비정규직 소모품이 아니라 인간이듯이…. 이름없는 사람들의 웅성거림 속에서 미래를 함께 토론하는 것! 다시 진리는 상상력의 문제입니다.

* 이런것들을 해보면 어떨까요?
(일단은 제안이고, 더 멋진 아이디어들을 모아서 다양한 행동들을 조직해요!)

뉴코아/이랜드 비정규노동자들의 이야기는 물론이고 코스콤이나 기륭전자 등 다른 비정규직 투쟁에 대해서 얘기하셔도 됩니다. 88만원세대의 이야기, 비정규 관련 책이야기나 언론비평, 르뽀, 자신의 경험이나 일상이야기도 좋습니다. 이미지 합성이나 그림, UCC도 괜찮겠지요. 단 하루, 모든 블로그에 같은 주제를 토론하는 포스트가 올라온다면 무슨 일이 벌어질까요?
