Starting in the early morning of Nov. 20, three dismissed Ssangyong Motor workers in Pyeongtaek(Gyeonggi province) ascended an electricity pylon to stage a sit-in protest. KCTU activists Han Sang-kyun, Moon Ki-joo and Bok Ki-seong are demanding the re-employment of the dismissed workers(as promised by the SsangYong management) and that a parliamentary inspection of the lay-offs be held.
Today is their 16th day of sit-in struggle...

Last Saturday(11.24) afternoon/evening the "4th Pan-national Rally"(to support the struggle of the dismissed Ssangyong workers) took place in downtown Seoul...
But sadly only 1,500(according to the cops: 1000/the organizers reported 3000) activists joined the 'event'(*)!!

Reminder: Jaeneung Sit-in Struggle Collective(JSSC) is waging a fierce battle against the Jaeneung Education Institute(JEI) for almost 5 years, and the struggle still doesn’t end (detailed background info about the strike you'll find here!).
Last Friday(11.23) JSSC - joined by representatives/activists from several labor unions(organized in the KCTU), resistance organisations and solidarity groups - 'celebrated' the 1,800th Struggle Day with a protest rally, held in the early afternoon in front of JEI in Seoul's Hyehwa-dong...
...followed in the evening by a culture festival at JSSC's sit-in struggle site in downtown Seoul, nearby the City Hall (impressions photographed by Jang Seong-ryol)...
...and finalized it in the night with a solidarity party at the same place:
