토요일엔 얀셀이 초대한 에코페어에 놀러갔다. 내가 사는 곳이랑 그리 멀지 않아 보여서 걸어갔더니 30분 정도 걸린 것 같다. 뭔지 잘 알지도 못하고 그냥 안셀이 오라고 해서 간 이유가 컸는데 한국으로 치면 마을 운동하는 사람들이랄까. 공공 도서관 뒤에 있는 빈건물을 스콰팅해서 2층엔 사람들이 살고 1층과 정원은 모두에게 개방된 공간으로 활용을 하고 있었다. 많은 책과 비디오 옷가지 등등을 그냥 널어놓고 공짜로 다 가져가도 된다길래 책을 한 권 챙겼다. 런던 와서 수집한 책들을 다 한국에 어떻게 들고 갈지 생각하면 슬슬 난감해지려고 한다. 나 떠날 때 여기서 버릴게 있으면 다 여기 'library house'에 가져다 줘야겠다. 마침 지난 토요일엔 자전거로 전기를 생산하는 법에 관한 워크숍이 있어서 재밌게 지켜보았다.오늘은 쥴리안이 같이 놀자고 전화가 왔는데 결국은 같이 못 놀고 나 혼자 산책을 나섰다. 쥴리안이 요 며칠 나랑 친해지려고 이런 저런 제스춰들을 취하는데 오늘 그렇게 약속을 빵구내고 나니 퍽이나 미안했다. 한국 오면 잘 놀아줘야지.
브릭 레인과 그 근처에 있는 아나키 서점인 freedom press를 찾아나섰는데 전철 공사 때문에 이리 저리 갈아타고 허둥대다가 결국 서점은 찾지도 못했다. 브릭 레인은 별 기대를 안 하고 나섰는데 분위기가 무척 맘에 들었다. 홍대 상수역 쪽 분위기 살짝 도쿄 코엔지 공원 삘도 살짝. 일요일에만 열린다는 장들이 꽤나 크게 자리잡고 있었다. 이런 저런 다양한 숍들. 이 지역 저 지역 먹거리들도 팔고. 스시 파는 가게만 서너개 본 것 같다. 음반 가게가 꽤 크게 있었는데 안에서 라이브로 공연을 하면서 그 음악을 음반 가게 안에 틀어놓은 것이 참 신선했다. 사회에 별로 적응할 의지가 없다는 포스들을 풍기는 젊은 친구들도 많고. 한국에 들고 갈 선물이나 한번 찾아볼까 했는데 역시나 부담스러운 가격 때문에 결국 다 포기했다. 흑. 앞으로 몇번 안 남은 일요일 중에 한번 시간이 나면 다시 한번 가보고 싶은 곳이었다.

We all have skills, ideas, objects, smiles, talents, friendship, excitement, discussions, and many other things to share. If we bring them all together at the Really Really Free Market, we can provide more balanced and full lives for everyone.
As a community we have many more resources than we do as individuals.
If we share our resources we won’t need to buy as many new ones. This uses fewer of the Earth’s resources, and fewer of our working hours, leaving us more time to devote to ourselves and our communities.
Would we all work forty hours a week at one job if we didn’t feel we had to? What if instead we worked at improving our individual skills and talents and shared them with each other? We would all spend more time doing things we enjoyed.
The Really Really Free Market is an attempt to put these ideas into practice.
