왜?   WHY?
 
오후 3시. 휴일이면 내가 제일 나른한 시간. 이때 쯤 따분한 건 견딜 수 없다.  Three in the afternoon. It's the time when I feel most weary on holidays. I cannot stand the dullness of it.
올해가 가기 전에 스멀스멀 또 수다 한 판을 벌리고 싶네?  It's better to open up a place where people can meet and have a chat and do more and invite people!
다른 이들은 성탄절 오후에 무엇을 하고 싶을까? 또 무엇을 하기 싫을까?   What do they want to do in the afternoon on a Christmas day? What do they hate to do?
경기도 어렵고, 움직이기 귀찮은 휴일이어도, 한 번 정도는 '안 열리는 듯, 열리는' 파티에 참석해도 좋겠다아~~.  The holiday during the economic downturn, when I can get lazier to move out of the house/bed.. It may be better to be in a party once, just once!
 
무엇보다 사람이다. 그들이 세계를 만든다. 어쩌다보니 내가 구심점이 되어 이루어진 사람의 만남은 그 만남의 '시작, 열림' 그 자체로 의미가 있다. 
Above all, it's people. They are making this world. I accidentally have put myself in the center of the human network. The meetings themselves have their meaning from the opening.
나는 빈 놀이터 제공자 역할을 하는 기쁨을 안다. 나는 그저 빈 놀이터이다.  I am overjoyed to be in this position, providing an empty playground. I am merely the empty playground.
빈집에 여러분을 초대하는 이유이다. 빈집이 많아지면 좋겠다는 바람도 있다. This is why I invite you to the Empty House. I wish there would be more empty houses.
각자의 몫과 방식이 다르지만 분명히 여러분 한 사람 한 사람은 자신의 빈집을 만든다.  Your share and methods vary, but clearly you are now also making your own empty house.
 
여하간 성탄절 3시부터 뭔가 같이 하고 싶은 이는 아낌없는 제안과 파아뤼 준비를 함께 해주길 바라요-

exploring the Empty House, admiring N Tower, taking a walk, playing with the cats and the dog, reading comic books, exercising, doing nothing but watching people, sleeping, writing, etc.
미원의 상상력을 능가하는 여러분의 상상력으로 내 집에서 놀듯, 같이 놀아 봅시다~!
Anything to add outside the list above? You are allowed to prepare things as you would do at home!
 
준비물: 올 지, 못올 지 미원에게 메일/문자 한 통 (*매우 중요, 늦어도 12시간 전까지)  Preperation: a message for telling Miwon if you are coming (*important, no later than 3 am, 25th)
가져와서 놀 것, 먹고 싶은 사람은 먹을 것(요리할 것), 또 가져오고 싶은 것 암거나, things to play with among what you have now, things to eat (or to cook), and what you want to bring
같이 올 친구 (있음 좋고, 없어도 좋고/ 이 공지를 돌려보세요) friends (if there is any / you can even pass this notice around)
1000원 +a (빈집에 머무르는 대가(?)) 1 thousand +a won (Contribution for the Empty House)
자기 자신, 그 안에 솜털처럼 가벼운 마음 yourself with a light heart
 
이 날 만큼은 잊을 것: 담배, TV, 핸드폰, 컴퓨터, 일회용품   WHAT YOU WOULD FORGET : cigarettes, TV, cellphone, computer, disposable packages
 
개장-폐장: 3시-9시 (더 놀고 싶음 알아서- 뒷정리만 잘 한다면야)    OPEN-CLOSE : 3pm - 9pm (you may stay longer if you would like to clean up together afterwards)

How to get there/
 
아래 글에 없는 내용 첨언: (걷는 이들을 위하여) 녹사평 2번 출구로 나와 왼쪽 옆에 쳐진 시멘트 벽돌담을 따라 쭈-욱 신호등까지 내려와서 왼쪽으로 난 구부러진 길로 꺾는다.
Additional explanation(for walkers): at Noksapyeong exit no. 2, you can see the wall along the sidewalk. walk down till the end of the wall and there is a small path on the left. Walk into the path.
걷다보면 장독을 쌓아놓은 가게도 보이고, 가게가 드문 드문 있는 거리로 들어선다. 그 길 따라 쭉 올라가면 그 끄트머리 정면에 종점약국이 보인다. (9분 쯤 걸린다)
You can see a store and a stall where the korean pots are arranged, there are stores once in a while. Walk up straight till the end of the road, and you will see a red sign which says '종점약국(you should try writing this korean down so that you can compare the sign and your memo)'  (it takes about 9 minutes)
종점약국은 지도를 참조하고, 거기까지 와서 오른쪽으로 2,30미터 내려가면 보이는 지하 보도를 통과한다. 출구로 나와 육교 건너지 말고 직진, Refer to the 종점약국 on the map below, on the center, at the bottom. once you arrive there, turn right and walk down a bit. you will see the underground pass for passengers. pass through it, then walk straight (don't cross the overpass), till you can see the crosswalk.
빈집은 밑에서 보듯 삼각형 모냥 모서리에 있는 첫번째 집이다.
the Empty House is across from the street, the first light gray house on the delta area.
 
You can come:
 
1. 자전거를 타고 알아서 온다.  by bicycle ; if you think you know the area well
by subway and bus;
2. 6호선 녹사평 역에서 내려서 걷거나 버스(143, 401, 406, 4012)를 타고 '3호터널입구'에서 내린다.  Walk from Noksapyeong(line no.6) (as I explained above), or take a bus 143, 401, 406, 4012) and get off at '3 ho teo neol ip gu(3호터널입구)' It's in English, 'the third Namsan tunnel entrance'
3. 서울역에서 내려서 남산순환도로로 도는 버스(4012, 402, 0014)를 타고 '보성여고입구'에서 내린다. From Seoul Stn.(line no.1/4) take the bus (4012, 402, 0014) and get off at 'Boseong Girls' Highschool'
4. 숙대입구에서 내려서 '용산02'번 마을버스를 타고 '종점약국'에서 내린다.  From Sookmyung Univ.(line no.4) take the bus 용산(yongsan) 02 and get off at 'Jong jeom yak guk', jong jeom pharmacy
5. 자동차는... 타고 올 사람이 있을라나? ㅋ well, anyone will come by car? I hope the Navigator will tell you. :)
