한국 인디미디어 신철경과 동안 헝가리와 호주 인디미디어 사람들이 <한국>이라는 이름을 제기했고 <남한>이라는 이름을 왜 안 쓰냐고 제기했다. 우리 서로 이해하고 받아드도록 토론했다.

한국 인디미디어 준비모임이 공식적인 신청경과를 시작한지 2주일 정도 되었고 오늘에 인디미디어 국제적인 넽워크에 연결해서 이제 실제적인 인디미디어다. 동지들 축하해!!!

지금 할 일은

1) 우리 웹사이트의 url주소를 korea.indymedia.org으로 바꾸고;

2) 공식적인 인디미디어 리스트에 한국을 추가해놓고;

3) 우리 4월 26일에 촛불미디어센터에서 개최할 상영회에서 celebration을 즐겁게 하쟈!

한국 인디미디어(IMC Korea)가 일주일에 한 번씩 용산 참사현장에서 라디오 방송을 합니다.
용산촛불방송국인 '언론 재개발'의 행동하는 라디오 팀에 결합하는 것이죠.

일단 라디오 방송은 용산 참사현장에서 하루에 두 번 방송됩니다.
오전 11시 30분-낮 12시 30분에 본방송이 나가고요, 오후 5시 30분부터 6시 30분까지 재방송이 나갑니다.
방송은 월요일부터 금요일까지 합니다.
용산 참사현장에 공개 라디오 방송국을 만들어서 본방송을 생중계로 현장에 내보내고, 녹음한 것을 오후 5시 30분부터 한번 더 방송하는 것입니다.
공개 라디오 방송국은 남일당 건물 바로 옆에 만들어서 철거민과 주민, 유가족 등의 목소리와 용산 참사에 대한 시민들의 생각, 철거민들에게 보내는 지지의 목소리, 신청곡을 받아 트는 음악, 진보뉴스 등등을 방송하려고 합니다.

한국 인디미디어는 매주 화요일 방송을 맡게 되었습니다.
저희는 다른 팀과 마찬가지로 미리 대본과 내용을 준비해서 화요일 오전 11시부터 연습을 한 뒤 오전 11시 30분부터 생방송을 합니다.
이것이 용산 현장에 확성기를 통해 널리 울려퍼지게 됩니다.
확성기의 성능이 좋기 때문에 용산 지역에 널리 퍼질 것입니다.
또한 mp3 파일로 만들어서 한국 인디미디어 홈페이지와 용산 범대위 홈페이지를 통해 인터넷으로도 들을 수 있게 될 것입니다.

언어는 일단 한국어와 영어를 반반씩 섞어서 내보내면 어떨까 하는 생각을 하고 있습니다.
저희가 담당하는 화요일만 30분 정도씩 용산 소식을 한국어와 영어로 방송하면, 인디미디어 홈페이지 등을 통해 전 세계로 널리 알릴 수 있을 것 같아요.
영어로는 특히 한 주일 동안의 투쟁 소식과 철거민과 유가족 인터뷰 등등 일반적으로 인터넷에서 접하기 힘든 내용을 방송하면 용산의 투쟁 소식이 알려지고 국제연대를 모으는데 도움이 되리라 생각합니다.

한국 인디미디어에서 같이 하는 활동이기 때문에 누구나 화요일 용산 라디오 방송에 참여할 수 있습니다.
참여를 원하시는 분은 용산 참가현장에 만들어진 미디어센터에 와서 한국 인디미디어 활동가들을 찾으면 됩니다.

imc Korea will be making the weekly Yongsan radio broadcast from next week.
Yongsan broadcasting station 'Media Redevelopement' and its radio action team 'Radio In Action' will make radio broadcast 2 hours everyday(1 hour live from 11:30am-12:30pm and 1 hour rerun from 5:30-6:30pm) in Yongsan area and also through the Internet.
imc korea will do it on every Tuesady.
We will record weekly 1-hour installment at the open radio studio at the Yongsan site, and as we talk on the open mic, it will be delivered loudly and widely throughout the area, using the propaganda truck with mega sound amplfier equipment.
Every installment will made into mp3 file type and heard on imc korea website and the official Yongsan struggle website.

It's open to everyone.
The radio action is gonna be radical, subversive, fun and off the hook.
You will NOT hear anything like this in anywhere else!
Tune in and come to Yongsan site to join the people's struggle against capitalism and the state.

of housing rights.

doyoung: this pilot project is experimental, so imc members are welcomed to

participate in.

moona: radio can be better than tv show. we use our voice, which is easier,

전체회의에서 인디미디어에 관한 중요한 결정을 하고, 새로운 프로젝트를 제안해 도모하고, 등등의 회의입니다.

오늘 한국 인디미디어에서 위기가 생겼다. 우리 공직적으로 지원해보는 길에 국제적 네트워크에서 한국 인디미디어라는 제목에 대해 제기했다. 왜 한국 인디미디어? 전국적으로 대표하는가? 참여하는 사람들이 다 서울에 거주하는가?

왜 서울 인디미디어라고 부르지 않는가? 참여하는 사람들이 다 서울에 거주하는 사람이잖아.

국제적 네트워크가 <한국 인디미디어>를 받아들지 않을 가능성이 강하다.

이 문제는 한국 인디미디어 메일 리스트에서 터뜨려왔다.

Consensus decision-making process

New role: vibes watcher. Someone who watches individuals and makes a list of those who want to speak, announce concerns or

in order to join the global IMC network (official participation in the network to Nick, sponsor from IMC austin) the following documents are necessary:

mission statement (3 pages—see summary: background information New Year’s Eve to the present; 4 categories of activity: website development Drupal, tech meetings, organization of website, outreach working group with different activist groups, outreach on individual levels, editing working group public meetings, web content eg Yongsan disaster newstories, resistance to NATO meetings, objectives & plans for the future)

provide a medium for bringing an open news wire for foreign news into korea on the website /anonymous open publishing

concern: do we need to clarify what the the objectives are for fundamentally...? additional concern: vanguard perception? Clarification: anonymous open publishing as an objective that resonates with imc

add a goal to the mission statement: making a global network based on grassroots media and activist activity in solidarity (Moona)

2. editorial policy (call to not discuss in person and to continue this on the activist board for feedback and Moona will wrap this up with the additional clarification on features) (Giraffe would like to add using the email as a way for folks to submit feature proposals/center with photos) clarification and proposal: submit the documents as they are and revise them after? "I'm worried about the survival of Korea Indymedia.

At our first general meeting, about 20 or 30 people came. Since that time, we've had about 5 general meetings and each time it happens, there are less people than the time before. It seems like the project is dieing one step at a time and that fact is breaking my heart...that fact is a rusty nail slowly driving itself deeper into my heart, one twist at a time.

There were only 5 of us at the last meeting. Because of the major absence of attendees, we were all hesitant to proceed with the meeting and the discussions. Everyone seemed drained of energy, including myself.

We are almost ready to apply to the global network! How can this happen? ...

I'm worried about the survival of Korea Indymedia."

no chr.!: well, when we made the first attempt to create IMC S.K. (late winter 2005) we agreed that there's a complete different initial situation for us (in S.K.) compared with the other IMCs, for example in "old europe".
as in germany: when IMC was established in 1999, the internet was like a "black hole" for the left/progressive/alternative.. movement. open spaces, media activism etc... - complete unknown (until today the "freeboard" is almost unknown/non-existent!!)!

so the IMC was established to give the groups/individuals (in opposition to the ruling system) a open platform to publish their opinions, reports... and to create an alternative, independent media network. etc, etc..

in S.K. the situation was(is) complete different! almost every activist group had/has its own home page, incl. a "freeboard"(게시판).. there are some central open spaces, like the freeboard in "jinbo.net", or in "nodong-ui sori", where everyone can publish his/her statements, reports etc...
so when you can read(and understand) korean you'll get a lot of informations - day by day. but you need to know the korean language! because in english you'll find almost NO independent infos, reports... only the bourgeois media (+hankyoreh) is writing daily in english (*).

although some alternative/progressive/radical left web-sites (**) have their own english sections - you'll find almost NO up-to-dated stuff there!

but there are many people "around the world" who are very interested in the daily class struggle (etc.) in S.K.

so we, as far as i remember (well, you should ask dope or mahbub, they must know..), agreed (2005) that IMC S.K. should be a prior tool for the activists (but also for "ordinary" journalists) 'around the world' to get independent ENGLISH informations about the daily struggle/current situation in S.K.

* until 2004 "jinbo.net" had its own english section (base21), but..  and the current english "newscham" section - just forget it!!(sorry)
