국제앰네스티에서 조직하고 있는 탄원행동입니다. 샘플에 있는 대로, 혹은 본인의 견해를 글로 작성하여 이메일, 팩스 등으로 버마 외무장관에게 보낼 수 있습니다. 앰네스티에 일단 탄원 공고가 나면 전세계적으로 수만통의 이메일과 가마니로 담아야 할 만큼의 팩스/엽서가 쏟아진다고 하더군요. 이러한 투쟁방식의 한계도 물론 있지만, 당사자들에게 '생생하게' 압력이 전달될 수 있다는 장점이 있습니다. http://web.amnesty.org/pages/mmr-270907-action-eng Dear Minister I am deeply concerned by the reports that hundreds of monks and other peaceful protesters, including well-known comedian Zargana and member of parliament Paik Ko have been detained. I strongly urge the Myanmar authorities to release them immediately and unconditionally, unless they are to be charged with recognizably criminal offences. I call on the authorities to ensure that, while they remain in custody, all the detainees are held only in official places of detention, and are given immediate access to lawyers, their families and any medical treatment they may require. I also call on the authorities to ensure that the detainees are not subjected to torture or any other ill-treatment. I call on the authorities to ensure that all people in Myanmar are able to peacefully exercise the rights to freedom of expression, association and assembly without fear of harassment, intimidation or arbitrary detention, in line with international human rights standards.
