[스포테인먼트 ㅣ 김태규기자] '어설픈 섹시는 가라!'
2006년을 강타할 신인듀오 '폭시'. 지난달 말 조치원에 위치한 한 스튜디오에서 진행된 폭시의 데뷔앨범 뮤직비디오 촬영현장은 선정성 논란을 불러 일으키기에 충분했다. 특히 경찰봉을 이용한 곤봉댄스는 여지껏 그 어떤 섹시그룹도 시도하지 않은 파격 안무.
게다가 타이트하게 달라붙은 상의와 가슴이 반쪽 드러난 브래지어, 엉덩이가 보일듯 말듯한 초미니 스커트와 구멍 뚫린 검은색 망사스타킹은 마치 제복 페티쉬를 연상시키게 했다.
도발적인 여경 이미지로 변신한 신인그룹 '폭시'의 뮤직비디오 촬영현장, 스포테인먼트가 따라 붙었다.

여성듀오 '폭시' 경찰복에 음란한 곤봉춤
 
[이명구 임근호기자] '음란경찰이 아닌 섹시캅이다!' 최근 뮤직비디오 촬영까지 마치고 음반출시를 코앞에 둔 신인듀오 '폭시'의 행보가 심상치 않다. 이유는 3월 중 가수 데뷔신고를 할 이들의 컨셉이 너무 도전적이고 너무 도발적이기 때문이다.
타이트하게 달라붙은 상의는 브래지어와 가슴을 반쯤 드러나게 만든다. 스커트길이는 초미니에 검은색 망사스타킹까지 신었다. 도대체 무슨 복장인가 싶어 자세히 보니 국적없는 푸른색 경찰복이다. 섹시함을 무기로 쏟아져나오는 가수들이 홍수를 이루고 있지만 여경 이미지는 낯설다.
 
음란한 경찰 아닌 섹시캅
폭시의 주역인 다함(23. 최예람)과 젬마(23. 이화영)는 "경찰이미지를 더럽히려는 것이 아니다. 폭시의 폴리스룩은 외국 뮤직비디오에도 흔히 등장하는 음란한 경찰이 아닌 섹시캅 이미지"라고 목소리를 높인다. 하지만 타이틀곡 '매직'에 맞춰 몸을 흔드는 모습을 보니 '정말 문제가 없을까'라는 생각이 절로 든다.
스스로 이름붙였다는 '캅스틱 댄스'는 경찰의 곤봉을 안무에 사용한 춤. 속옷이 보일듯 말듯한 스커트 사이로 곤봉이 드나드는 장면은 누가 봐도 성행위를 암시하는 듯하다. 남자 백댄서와 호흡을 맞춘 대목에서 선정성은 더욱 적나라해진다.
함께 손을 맞대고 가슴에 얹어 거세게 부벼대는가 하면, 남자 백댄서의 다리 사이에 허벅지를 끼우고 몸을 비비기까지 한다. 섹시뮤직비디오 수준이 아니라 19세 이상 관람가 판정이 거의 확실한 위험수위에 도달해 있는 것이다. 그러나 정작 폭시는 해보는데까지 해보겠다는 입장이다.
평범한 섹시로는 미래 없어
경찰복에 곤봉춤까지 '뜨기위해 몸부림친다?'는 의혹의 눈초리에 폭시는 당연한 사실이라고 당돌하게 받아친다. 젬마는 "음반 한장을 내기위해 지금까지 진짜 눈물나게 고생했다. 남보다 그리 예쁘지도 않고 섹시하지 않은 것도 안다. 하지만 그래도 보여줄 것은 섹스어필밖에 없는데 어떻하겠느냐"고 털어놓는다.
'음악으로 승부하면 안될까?'란 공자님 같은 말씀에 다함은 "궁지에 몰려보면 그런 말 안나올 것"이라면서 "성공하기 위해 음악성 외에 추가할 것이 있다면 섹시함뿐만 아니라 그 보다 더 한 것도 추가할 수 있을 것"이라고 결의를 다졌다.
수없이 등장했다 사라지는 가수의 운명을 되풀이하지 않기 위해서 폭시에겐 평범함 이상의 섹시 컨셉이 필요했다는 것이다. 그렇다면 과연 폭시는 섹시캅 이미지로 뜨거운 이슈를 이끌어내며 성공할 수 있을까.  폭시는 섹시캅 다음엔 간호사 버전 등 남성들의 페티쉬를 자극할 비장의 무기들이 준비돼 있음을 암시했다.
남성욕망 사로잡을 페티쉬 듀오
기존의 섹시가수들이 개인이 가진 외모와 몸매만으로 올인했다면 폭시의 경우는 차원이 다르다. 제복과 스타킹 등에 열광하는 남성들의 페티쉬적인 욕망을 겨냥한 것이다. 데뷔의상으로 경찰복을 선택한 것도 경찰 이미지의 고정관념을 깨보고 싶었기 때문이라고 한다.
젬마는 "뮤직비디오 촬영이 끝나고 나니까 막상 주변에서 걱정을 많이 한다. 그러다 혼나면 어떻하냐고. 하지만 과거에 DJ DOC는 경찰소재 노래로 포돌이 논란도 일으키지 않았나. 최근에 끝난 드라마 '내인생의 스페셜' 보니까 경찰이 룸살롱도 하더라"면서 "그냥 패션컨셉으로 예쁘게 봐주길 바랄뿐이다. 기회가 닿는다면 경찰 위문공연으로 신세를 갚을 것"이라고 애교섞인 표정을 지었다.
신인 여성듀오 폭시의 고민과 모험은 칭찬보다는 '뜨기 위해 별짓을 다한다'는 비난에 휩싸일 가능성이 더욱 크다. 하지만 단 한번의 기회를 놓치지 않기 위해 최선을 다하는 그들의 열정을 마냥 폄하할 수도 없을 것 같다. '섹시스타'가 아니라 '섹스심볼'이 되더라도 대중과 함께 하고 싶은 끼를 억누를 수 없는 못말리는 여자들. 그들이 바로 여우같은 여자 둘 폭시다.
