Romans4:16-25

When God created human beings, He recognized the human beings and put them the responsibility to take care of the created world. Furthermore, He even gave them the will of freedom to choose anything. At first, God built the confident relationship to make with friends. They can even choose God who they must depend on. However, they chose bad decision and did against His commandments. So, the confident relationship was broken.
There needed to restore the relationship between God and human beings. In such perspective, God called Abraham to restore the broken relationship. Abraham might reject His calling. However, he responded to trust God by obeying His calling and the commandments of blessing. Human beings can the way of faith to be recognized as they are right in the sight of God. God led to Abraham to follow the way of faith by depending on the promises of God.

Abraham’s faith was the faith to trust the promises of God.
God gave Abraham the promise of blessing. The blessings were for him to present the land and descendents, the blessing of life, and the eternal blessing companying God. The secular blessings are insecure; the blessing of faith is guaranteed to be certain by the eternal God. The faith pursued to take the thinking and vision of God beyond circumstance and limited human conditions.

The faith of Abraham was not the view of human to unable the impossible things, but to believe the view of God to enable the impossible things. Christians can trust the God who created anything out of nothing. The faith to take the view of God can make fruit of faith against the destiny of death. Abraham’s faith was a kind of enduring perspective to trust the promises of God, not to wave his faith.

The issue to be transferred as the representative is not onl　y applied to the original sin, but also the salvation of Jesus to recompose the sins of human. Jesus was chastised in the imposing for our sins; we human beings are released in the punishment of God. Jesus was on the curse of sin and death; we are on the blessing of God. This is the gospel. The story of Abraham in the confident relationship with God was to restore the broken confident relationship between God and human

(Lamentations 3:19-28)

People sometimes may live in despair of life. Jeremiah experiences the distress of heart and the difficulty of his reality in despaired heart through seeing the destruction of his nation. Some days in life may provide failure, suffering, and ruin. People learn the lesson of life through undergoing failure, suffering, and ruin. In failure they realize their foolishness, their weakness in suffering, and misery of their sins in ruin. Living without gospel looks like living without hope. Living without faith is similar to living in despair of life.

People can see the hope of God. In failure, suffering, ruin of life. People can look into the hope of God. There is hope based on God’s mercy and compassion. God regards to be mercy on the failure and despair of human. God usually come to those who commit sin in the hand of mercy. God is pleased to forgive the fault and sin of humans. He never want the destruction of humans. There is hope based on the faithfulness of God. The plan of humans may fail and the merit of human will disappear. However, the plan of God will not fail. God can accomplish the project for the salvation in His eagerness. God works for the salvation of human now.

Hope as the heritage of God. Human being in despair need to get the salvation of God. Things that human has are health, power, fame, materials should be disappear, however the things of God; salvation, gospel, eternal life is still eternal. Depending on God means to participate in the heritance of God. People who have God’s faith live in hope through the faith. The faith to trust God can accomplish the things of human to desire.

People can get the hope of God. Faith to do success comes to those who wait for it. The time of blessing can come to those who prepare and wait for the time of prosperity. Those who have the faith is the day to save them in the day of God, the day of God is the time of judgment and destruction for non-believers. Those who seek for the salvation of God can be found. Those who look into the truth can be opened the way to go forward the life of God. Those who are in despair can acquire the peace and blessing of life through seeking happiness through believing God who give people hope.

Romans 1:16-17

*The Gospel is the good news for all people and the news of salvation
for those who are in the threat of death.
The gospel is about Jesus' death on the cross and His resurrection.
We cannot shamed of the gospel.
Through God’s saving power, we can get hope from despair.
The reason we boast of the gospel,
because it has the salvation power of God who can release
people from the bondage of sin and death.

1. What powers ate the gospel that I understand and experience?
The ability to solve the problems of sin, the guarantee to get the eternal life,
the power to overcome the despair of life,
and the capability to escape the impact of death, etc.

* Anyone needs to listen the gospel and believe it.
They are among those who try to look for the trace of God or
those search the wisdom of God.
However, people lost the way to find God because of their sin.
Furthermore, they have serious burden of life to cause their life desperate.
In final moment of their life, they have to face their death.
So, people need the way to find the eternal life.

2. Who are the persons that need the gospel? Those who live in the bondage of sin,
those who lie in the problem of life, those who are lost in the purpose of life,
and those who are in the curse of sin and death, etc.

* In believing the gospel, there has the salvation power of God
who make us overcome from the destiny of death.
The way of believing seems like the life style depending on the benefit of Christian reward.
The way has the effectiveness of the good life
to move from self-center to God-center lie.
The faith make us right relationship with God and become the mature person.

4. In the way of faith, can you find know how to live with God?

The promise of the Holy Spirit’s coming and the prayer of early church members
Acts 1:4-14

The promise of the Holy Spirit’ coming 4-8
The risen Lord gave a last charge to those who followed Him.
They should not leave Jerusalem and wait for the present that God promised.

And they would receive baptism by the Holy Spirit.
And then they would be witnesses of the risen Jesus Christ.
1. What should I do to receive the Holy Spirit?
In order to become the witness of Jesus Christ, what should I do?

The Ascension of the Risen Jesus Christ 9-11
To look forward to ascending Jesus reminds Christians the goal of the Christian faith.
Our goal is to get to Jesus. He is our goal and destination to get to.
From the beginning of Christian faith, Christians should try to copy the life style of the Lord.
He is the Lord who come back to us. What is your goal and life purpose?
What relationship is between ascension of the Lord and own holy goal?

United prayer at upper room 12-14
Among early church members at the upper room there were new converts
like brethren of Jesus.
Early church was prayer community that believes the promise of God pouring the Holy Spirit
and devoted them to the earnest prayer.
They are community to desire for Holy Spirit’s coming.
They are the practicing prayers that realize the promise of God.
5. Like early church members how do you desire for the blessing of the Holy Spirit?
How do you strive for Spirit empowered status?

 Corinthians 15:1-19

* The resurrection of Jesus is the heart of the Christian faith and message.
The fact of Jesus’ resurrection rests upon the certainty of Jesus’ death and burial,
and sealing of the tomb, and empty tomb,
and on the record of ten different physical appearances of the risen Jesus.
The main message of the apostles is Jesus’ death on the cross and the resurrection of Christ. The message gives the guarantee of the redemption of sin and defeat of death
and the hope of eternal life.

Do I believe in Jesus’ resurrection?
What is the certain testimony among the facts of the resurrection of the Lord?

*The witnesses of the resurrection of Christ (5-11)/
The resurrection of the Lord causes the change of those who believe Jesus.
The change of the apostles and the early believers is
the result of witnessing the resurrection of the Lord.
The witnesses of the resurrection showed in their sudden and amazing changes.
The representative change is the change of Paul
from persecutor to the witness of the resurrection.
The results of the changes are upon the descent of Holy Spirit as the guarantee of
the resurrection and the beginning of the church of the Lord.

3. What is your relationship with the resurrection of the Lord and your Christian faith?
4. What aspects of the resource for changing me?

* The indispensable relationship between the resurrection of the Lord and Christian faith
Sometime in the church, there are those who disbelieve the resurrection of the Lord.
Their disbelief does not the foundation of their salvation.
Without believing in the resurrection, their faith is in vain.
Without the resurrection people deny God’s salvation the Christ who rose from death.

The result of denial of the resurrection (15-19)/
The message of apostles who speak of the resurrection would be in vain
and they would be false witnesses.
Christians would still be in sin, those who died in the Lord were destroyed.

Luke 19:28-44

* The Meaning of Palm Sunday/
Jesus went to Jerusalem to be a part in the feast of Passover in final week.
There would happen very important things in the public ministry of the Lord.
He was raised among the people as King and Messiah before His death on the cross

1. What about your experience in accepting Him as the Lord of life?
He wants to be the Lord of my life and rule my life.
All the parts in my life, what is His position in my life?
Guest, even an invited guest, spectator or the Lord of my life.

* To be His tool means to be a humble servant and respect Him.
Jesus’ using the colt give us an important lesson.
We need to serve Him with a humble and a pure heart.

2. What about my attitude to serve Him?

*Triumphal entry/ People raise Him joyfully and respectfully as the King of peace.
To raise Him means the joy and ministry of people of the Lord.
People are those who serve Him asking, or someone reject Him so they must be destroyed.
Jerusalem that rejects Him should demolish in final.

3. Lord Jesus comes to us the King of our life. In our life, how about raising Him?
What is the difference between to serve Him or reject Him?
Joy and anguish, heaven and hell, victory and defeat, courage and despair.

(Mark 11:20-26)
*Making fruit is for believers to the important issue.
True believers can make fruit in the presence of God.
Through the happening of the fig tree,
the lesson was that Jesus judges the fruitless one　.
His work comes to the proclamation of His words and its following accomplishment.
So, the words of Jesus appear the following miraculous sign by their power.
Before God, how can believers do fruit?
Obedience, devotion, eagerness, faith, trustworthiness, and etc.

*What is it means faith for believers?
Faith has the power to get own desires.
Faith can give believers to get own desires.
The practice of faith can be accomplished by the example of prayer.
The Lord gave the lesson to move unmovable mountain by the power of faith.
The object of own faith is the very important to effectiveness of own faith.
What about own faith?

*What does it mean for believers to pray?
It means to confirm own faith, to produce the personal relationship with God,
to make do God’s works.
What about own prayer? For what do you pray?
And what about your own prayer life?

*In order to answer your prayer, you have in faith.
Faith can make prayer to respond to God.
The answer of prayer needs to cooperate in the works of faith and forgiveness.
What do I need to get for effective prayer?
Patience, forgiveness, faith, to be fitted to the will of the Lord

* Christians make the foundation of life on Jesus Christ.
Their life styles are to follow the wisdom and knowledge of God in Christ.
Jesus Christ is the mystery, and power, wisdom of God.
He has all treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
In Jesus Christ there is the knowledge getting salvation and the wisdom of life management.
So, they should learn Jesus Christ.

2. How do we learn Christ and His teachings?
Truth encounter through personal relationship, truth encounter through frequent
fellowship, truth encounter through knowledge, truth establishment through discerning
the truth

* Growing faith is to establish the foundation of faith and build up your own pious house
and express own faith in his life.

1. What I am doing for building up my faith?
Assurance of salvation, personal relationship building, sincere confession and
repentance of sins, Increasing numbers of fellowship

2. What areas strengthen my faith?
Study and understand the word of God, be faithful attitude the teachings of Christ,
Effective Godliness training, certain spiritual gifts experiences, Learning and following
God’s guidance and works.

3. What looks like the thanksgiving life style?
God’s grace-centered life, spiritual abundant life, and self-contented life.

* To obey the word of God is to give benefit to the
   own soul. 

1. The word of God is making people born again and
   fresh the status of soul like cleansing sins,
   healing the sick, making our soul healthy.  

2. Those who yearn to the word of God shows to
    love the Lord and brothers.

3. The effect force of the word improves to the
    several aspects of our life like thinking,
    speaking, doing something.

 

*  Christians life has spiritual up an d down during
   our lifelong term. 

1. There are blocking components to cause spiritual
   slump like evil thoughts, hypocritical attitude,
   and hating mind, etc

2. Spiritual growth is made by regular taking
   the word of God.

3. The benefits of the growth are strengthening of
   life, eliminating sins, filling the needs of people,
   making spiritual health, taking the promises of
   the blessing of God, etc.

John 15:1-6 (10)

* Christ and His followers are connected in an inevitable
relationship as the vine and its branches.

1. The believers’ living is based on the assurance of their own
salvation.
2. They can survive, grow, and make fruit as the healthy
branches stuck to the vine.
3. Their vitality survives through their strong connection

* God is the Gardner of the branches. He has to trim them and
work with them to make them fruitful.

1. The methods that God use to care and train are using trials
of life,, spiritual training, spiritual awareness,, improvements
of character,, gifts development, etc,
2. What parts to be transformed are among personal aspects for
becoming mature Christian?
3. What parts of my image are blocking me from becoming a
mature Christian? Which outer factors of my life block me?

* How do Christians manage their life making fruit?

1. They can spiritual growth through personal fellowship,
scripture take, meditation, Bible study, etc.
2. They can make testimonial experience through experiencing
prayer-answering of God,
3. Christian life can express their virtues like love, hope,
patience, faithfulness, goodness etc.,
