스토클리 카마이클님 연설 읽기: Stokely Carmichael, Free Huey Rally, February 1968

연설문 1시간짜리임. 위 영상 55분쯤에 시작함

나의 힙합스승 구멍님이 알랴준 Blackalicious의 노래 Cliff Hanger 말미에 들어가 있는 누군가 연설한 건 거 같은 내용이 넘 좋아서 찾아봤더니 위의 그 사정이었음. 노래에 삽입된 연설은

we must understand that for black people, the question of community is not a question of geography, it is a question of color. It is a question of color. If you live in Watts, if you live in Harlem, Southside Chicago, Detroit, West Philadelphia, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama. Wherever you go, the first place you go is to your people--not the land, to your people. For us the question of community is a question of color and our people, not geography! Not land! Not land! 연설문 반쯤 읽다가 소리 들으면서 동시에 읽고 싶어서 관두고 막 소리를 찾아봄. 바보같은 짓거링을 하다가 유투브에 있는 걸 mp3로 변환해 주는 사이트가 많아서, 거기서 mp3로 다운받아 스토클리님 부분만 잘라냄. 그랬더니 파일이 56분짜리랑께......;; 그리고 사이즈가 52메가나 돼서 여기 올리진 못 하고, 듣고 싶은 사람 있으면 메일로 보내주지~

그나저나 클리프 행어는 가사를 읽어도 무슨 말인지 도통 모르겠다. 영어단어 겁나 모르는 거 뽷뽷뽷이기도 하지만 그냥 전반적으로 뭐 뭐지??? -_-?? 계속 그럼. 그래서 이 노래 말미에 저 연설문이 왜 들어가는지도 모르겠음-ㅅ-;; 그러고보니 스토클리님 이름도 이런 이름 첨 봐서 이게 정말 이름인지 뭔지 오랫동안 문자를 읽어도 뭔지 이해가 안 갔었다;
