랩배틀은 정말 웃기다 서로 할 수 있는 모든 욕을 동원한다, 너는 애송이라고 뭉개는 건 약과고 계급-_-, 학력-_-, 부모, 친구, 성차별, 소수자모욕, 기타 모든 비하와 모욕을 사용해 랩으로 상대를 제압하고 대중의 지지를 받아내야 한다.

랩을 너무 잘 하지만 마이크만 잡으면 꿀먹은 벙어리고 조금씩 자신을 얻어서 랩배틀에서 우승하고 나서 가야 할 곳은 간신히 야근을 따낸 직장이다.
영화는 왜 거기서 끝나는지 잘 모르겠는데 나는 야근하는 에미넴의 허무한 모습을 상상했다. 마치 옛날 영화 <졸업>에서 두 남녀가 결혼식장을 희열 넘치게 뛰쳐나와서 버스를 잡아타고 맨 뒤칸에 앉아 멀뚱멀뚱 허무해 보이던 것처럼.

졸업의 마지막 장면에서 허무한 모습을 보셨다뉘... 독특한 시각이군요...그 장면이야말로 넘치는 희열 앞에서 인간이 가진 언어가 얼마나 초라한지를 보여주는 장면이라고 생각했는데... ㅋㅋ
8마일은 랩이라는 장르를 통해 미국의 현실을 적나라하게 보여주는 영화였다고 생각해요. 클래쉬라는 영화와 비슷할 정도로 말이죠. 암튼 영화평 원츄~! ^^

흔히 <졸업>의 마지막 장면은, 기존 체제에 '낭만적 저항'을 하던 미국의 60년대 학생운동 세력이 결국 갈 방향을 잃고 혼란스럽게 멀뚱히 앉아있는 모습을 상징한다고....들 하지요. 확실히 <졸업> 마지막 장면은 희열이 넘치는 장면보다는 뭔가 '사건'을 저지른 후의 썰렁함과 막막함이 뭍어나는 장면이었던 걸로 기억나네요. 뭐.. 보는 사람마다 다르겠지만요:)부가 정보

행인/ 졸업을 본 게 고등학교 때라서 지금 보면 다를지도 모르겠써요. 그 때엔 졸업이 되게 충격적이었는데..캐즘/ 원래 그렇게들 말하는 거군요=ㅂ=; 더스틴 호프만이 운동권이었나? ;; 그건 모르겠지만 저는 신부 손잡고 달리는 부분에 대한 환상으로 아름다운 영화일 줄 알았는데 전혀 아니어서 쇼킹했써요. 티비에서 보고 다음날 친구랑 미친듯이 얘기했던 아름다운 추억이...;

캐즘/ ...들 하는 거, 솔직히 믿기 어렵습니다. 졸업의 마지막 장면에서 벤자민과 일레인의 표정은 뭐랄까, 이제 앞으로 어떻게 하지? 뭐 이런 표정이었달까요. 그러나 그 얼굴들이 떨떠름한 표정이었다면 저것들이 사고 쳐놓고 왜 저럴까하고 말겠지만 꼭 그렇진 않았다는 것이죠. 졸업에 대한 영화평 중에 간혹 캐즘님이 이야기하는 60년대의 히피적 문화와 지식인의 고뇌, 물질관계에 함몰된 사랑 등을 이야기하는 분들이 있던데, 사실 졸업이라는 영화를 보면서 그런 생각 별로 하지 못했습니다. 감수성이 둔해서 그런 걸까요... ^^;;;희열 운운은 순전히 제 개인적인 감상이었습니다. ㅎㅎ
